This was such a wierd crazy week. It snowed which is a rare thing, and it stayed all week. I pretty much hibernated with the kids because they were all sick. I think Eden got it first, fever for 3 or 4 days with runny nose and lots of coughing etc. Tanner got it next, then Dallin. This sickness is definately not a 24 hour thing. It was hard to get anything done with their needs. We did manage to play in the snow for a few minutes and celebrate Edens birthday in between it all. This weekend we finally ventured out and went to Heidi's 18th birthday party. They had a big dance with about a hundred teenagers, so we were shaperones. Poor Dallin was still pretty sick but he managed. I think the kids had a good time eating pizza, root beer floats and cake. Dallin liked to push the food cart around with the cake on it. I think his help was unwelcomed however. Eden and Tanner loved the music and dancing. We had a fun birthday party for Eden at Grandpa Dickinson's last week. Peter's mom gave her some pretty pink clothes. She is crazy about pink. She put everything on at once including pants, 2 skirts, shirt and jacket. She also got a pink phone, and a cabbage patch kid. On her actual birthday we had a cake with just us at home. We sang and blew out her candles several times. Then we gave her a new toy kitchen with lots of food and a bunch of cabbage patch stuff. I think she may be a bit young to really enjoy these but she knew they were hers.

Happy New Year!

We enjoyed our new year celebration with a nice dinner at Larry and Michelle's house. Then a few of the family members came over to our house for games and a movie. It has been kind of nice to begin our usual routines again after being so busy over the holidays. Last week was the naughtiest week ever for Dallin and Eden. One day when I was feeding Tanner I heard riotess laughter which I thought was coming from the basement only to find that they were actually in the office pulling tons of books (like 100) off of the bookshelf. Despite lengthy time outs they did it again later that afternoon, but I caught it early on. The next day they went upstairs into the bathroom, plugged up the sink with toilet paper and filled it to the brim. Then they took huge wads of toilet paper, got them wet and flung them all over the walls like spit wads. Just when I think I have the house kid proofed, they find an unlocked door. I think they got into my makeup twice and then there was the day that Dallin stripped and brought me the contents of his diaper in his hand to show me. Gross!!! I think that them being little buddies has its good and bad points to it. Cleaning up after their mischief is a full time job by itself. Eden and I had her first nail painting experience. She loved it! She felt so pretty of course.
Peter put his pull up bar and now he wants to be able to do 30. I think he can do 10 or 15 so far. Lucy was a great assistant.
Luke and Andy can both fit on the bar. It was amazing how many they did.
New years day we got to go skiing. I think I missed the last 2 seasons due to pregnancy and babies and such. It felt so good to go out there and do what I love to do but don't get many chances to these days. I even did some jumps (rather conservatively) and some tree skiing. It is fun to keep up with Peter. He just points his skis down the hill and goes. It helps me to be brave.
