And One More Makes 5!

Wow, it still seems strange to say but it is true! We are expecting baby number 5 on November 11th. That is just after I turn 30. Wow, 30 and 5 kids, so crazy! I am just about 8 weeks along now.

I have not been as sick as with other pregnancies until the last few of days. I finally really started to feel tired and sick. I found some great prenatal vitamins that really help though which I think has made a huge difference over the last few weeks.

The kids are all very excited and sincerely happy about a new baby coming. When we told them, they all seemed to think it is a girl. Dallin and Tanner think there are 2 babies! Um, lets not jump to conclusions kiddos.

The last couple of weeks have been so busy, I have a lot of blogging to catch up on. This week should be a lot more calm so stay tuned for all the recaps.

Me: Laughing "Oh, you mean Chucky CHEESE'S?"

Dallin: "No, Chucky Jesus is different that Jesus."

Home Depot

Sorry about the crummy phone pictures. Last weekend Peter and the kids decided to take advantage of the free kids workshop at the Home Depot. We have never done it before, but it was so cool. They GAVE the kids their own little aprons, and a kit to make a little race car track with 2 cars. They loved it. We will definitely be doing this each month. Each time they go they receive a pin for that craft to put on their apron and a certificate. Next month, its birdhouses.

Poor Tanner. I decided that he was too young and I wanted the older kids to have some good Daddy time so I left with him and made him go to the craft store with me. He was NOT happy to say the least!!! Maybe we will let him do one next time.

The Big 3-0

Peter's Birthday was a couple of days ago. We had a little family party and Peter got some new guitar equipment that he has been wanting. He wanted to have molten lava cakes like the ones from Chiles resteraunt, it was delicious. There is a super easy recipe at topsecretrecipes.com.

Peter pointed out that now he is closer to 40 than 20. Oh well, life experience is worth getting older. I am so glad that I have known you for half of your life babe! We have had so many adventures and I am so glad that you make family your number one priority. I love you, you are the best!

The Caves

Peter did some research on local cave tours so we had a fun family outing over the weekend. Dallin, our little "Goonie", had a great time. It was way out in the middle of nowhere. We had to wait a half hour for our tour to start so the kids played with the children that were hanging out there because their mom worked there. So they let Eden and Dallin play with the lizards that they had caught.


Dallin loved these little shovels. He was in heaven exploring all of the fun terrain with the little boys.

When it was our turn, we walked about 5 minutes to the cave opening. The kids could not walk, they were too excited.

Ready for the tour.

The cave was little kid friendly with paths and handrails. We didn't even need flashlights because there was backlighting all over, which was so beautiful. We toured for about an hour and a half and the kids really did a great job, not much whining or complaining. Our guide was so patient which was so nice because we could go really slow.

I wish that I could take a tripod and spend a day in here. It was hard to get a clear picture without using flash or a tripod, but I love the reflection on the water in this one. The water is high so we couldn't take that trail.

This was Peter's favorite wall. It looked like a waterfall, but it wasn't running with water, at least not anymore. Dallin was really looking forward to seeing bats like in Goonies, but we told him they were sleeping. He kept saying that he wanted to wake up the bats. There was one fake one on a ceiling that he got a kick out of.

Afterwards, we let the kids play for a while since they were having so much fun exploring with the other kids. Dallin walked off with a couple of boys so far that Peter had to go get him because we didn't know how far they would wander off out of view and their was a creek. Dallin was so upset that Peter wouldn't let him keep going. As he dragged Dallin back he kept screaming "I want to live here!" I guess he thought the other kids did. I asked him if he liked this place or Disneyland better and it was this place, no hesitation.

The peaceful drive home. It was about an hour and a half away. Dallin talked about wanting to move there all the way home. I breaks my heart that we have a little country boy and we live in the city. It was like watching someone experience freedom for the first time. Maybe some day...
