Journaling

Today, I noticed that Lily was looking at a picture book and she said "Chicken nuggets!" pointing to some french fries.  Sure enough we had french fries for dinner and she kept calling them chicken nuggets.  She thinks they are the same thing. Lily's favorite joke:
L:Knock knock
Me:Who's there?
L: a Pillow Pet, the blankies, Eden and Mickey Mouse's underwear!

Lukey is crawling all over like he owns the place...and putting EVERYTHING in his mouth.  He is such a sweet little guy though.  A very happy nature to him.  He also loves his Johnny Jump Up more than any other of our kids have.  He bounces like crazy and has even learned how to swing forward and back with running motions.  The kids are starting to play with him more and more.

Carter runs this little gang with Lily.  There are two people in it.  Carter is the leader and the two members run around the house causing all kinds of trouble.  Carter is so bossy that if any sort of rebellion arises, he tries to force Lily to do(or not do) what he says.  He would really like to believe that he has total dominion, but Lily would say otherwise.  This is causing a lot of contention. He even had a tantrum over what I was giving Lily for lunch the other day.  He was fine with eating it himself, but he was adamant that she should not have it.

Tanner is pretty much only thinking about his birthday party lately.  His is the last of 3 birthdays in a row, so his anticipation has been building.  I am so burned out of birthday stuff at this point that it is going to be hard to live up to the hype.  We will try.

All Tanner needs to be happy in life is some blank paper and some crayons.  He will sit for hours and draw Spiderman pictures.
Tanner got hit in the face with a swing as you can see here.
Tanner's favorite joke:
Tanner and someone else hold their arms next to each other and ask "Which one is tanner?" Get it?  Then Tanner exclaims "I am!"

We only have 3 days of school left before summer.  I think we have all been pretty much trying not to check out for the last couple of weeks.  We are ready for a break.

This week we went to see The Avengers in 3D.  We had some free tickets for us and the big kids, but couldn't get a sitter so we ended up just taking the whole family.  We knew that it would be an empty theater since it was a week night and it has been playing for a while.  Sure enough it was us, one other couple and a LOT of refillable popcorn.  Our favorite thing was all the funny parts they put in, especially with the Hulk.

The kids did okay for a while, but Carter and Lily eventually got bored and started roaming the isles.  I felt bad for the couple that was there because we were pretty loud despite my death threats pleading.  Then Carter dropped his glasses into a row below and when he reached between the seat in front of him and the concrete step, he got his arm completely stuck.  This was during his roaming and he was a couple of rows away from me, so I had to run over to him and try to get him free.  It took a good minute of panicky loud wailing to get him out.  Luckily he was fine, just a little shaken.  Eden and Carter both fell asleep by the end.  It was a lot of work to get through the whole movie, but we all survived.   It was definitely an adventure.

This weekend the boys went to the Father son campout.  They had a great time making s'mores and exploring.  Peter always likes to take them on a hike and bear his testimony to them and tell them how much he loves them.  Us girls had fun curling up in my bed and watching My Little Pony movies.
