As soon as we arrived at Universal Studios, it was obvious that it doesn't have the same magic feel as Disneyland, but we still had an amazing day. There were several rides that the little kids couldn't do, but they had a pretty great kiddie play area so it worked out fine. The roller coasters here were really fun. There is a Mummy one a Simpson one and a Jurassic Park one. We also saw a special effects demonstration that was cool. Dallin liked seeing how they can make it look like someone's arm is getting cut off, but not really, and seeing how green screens work.
Spongebob! We are not as big into Spongebob as we once were, but it was fun to meet him!
I know what Luke is thinking...."I want to eat this guys nose!."
The Studio Tour was really fun. This is where they filmed the disaster scene from War of the Worlds.
Whoville
Bate's Motel from Psycho. I never saw that movie other than the shower scene, but this creepy guy that chased us with a knife gave me the heebee jeebees. There was also a 3D segment of the tour that made us feel like we were in the new Godzilla movie getting attacked and thrown around in the jungle. It felt really realistic, we even got "drooled" on.
The best thing about Universal besides the tour were the shows. We saw a Shrek 3D show, a very cool live Waterworld show with lots of pyrotechnics and a terminator show. They were all really over the top.
