Idaho, Part 2

Here are a few more non fishing highlights from our trip: Great Grandma McCurdy with the kiddos. We were glad to be there for her birthday! My parents threw a big bash. My grandma is so great, and the kids enjoyed her although not so much taking a picture.  I love it anyway.Photobucket
Aren't my parents cute!  My dad bought a hog, ha!  He took me for a long ride in the country one night. It was terrifyingly fun! I loved seeing the town he was born in and smelling spuds in the air (for real!).

We took a ride up into the mountains and hiked up to "40 horse cave".  The jury was out as to whether it has ever housed 40 horses or not.  This was a fun place with a stream and beauty all around.  My dad said this was my great grandma's favorite place to come and picnic.

We went to Rexburg one day.  What a throwback, sort of.  It is so different, there wasn't much that I recognized. They have a great little water park there that the kids loved.  It was a fun, hot afternoon so it was great.

Afterward we chowed down some Big Judds burgers.  Huge one pound burgers. That's enough for 4 of us. Yum!

None of us had ever been to Bear World before. We had decided that the kids weren't really up for a Yellowstone trip quite yet.  Bear World was close and gave a lot of instant gratification.  We drove around a little park with over 40 bears and lots of other animals right by our car.

Bear World also had the best petting zoo we have been to.  The animals were unique to see and touch. Like baby deer!  Our favorite was Bambi.

Lily like the baby peacocks.

The bear cubs were so fun to watch.

Lots of wrestling.

Watching the big rainbow trout. There was also a giant white swan that was so beautiful.

I love Tanner's face.  When he is not super happy, he is, well, like this.  They had a few rides for the kids and he was getting impatient to get to those. Love this picture though.

This place was so worth the price of admission.  We had hours of fun adventures.  If we had known how much there was to do, we would have made a whole day of it.
